I am up to chapter three and need help! I am at the basics of HTML layout and don't understand where the examples you have are typed into. What program do I use to create the page? Where do I enter my page information?

Surprisingly, this is a common question! The answer is that you can use any of the many editors that you probably have on your computer. I've written pages in Microsoft Word, WinNote, TeachText and many other programs. The key to getting this to work is to save the file with the '.htm' suffix and to save it as text-only.

Then start up the browser of your choice and choose "open file", select the file you're working on, and you should then be able to swap back between editing and saving, and viewing and refreshing in the Browser.
