Intuitive PSO is a federally listed Patient Safety Organization (PSO) that is dedicated to improving patient safety and quality of care in robotic surgery. We are a component of Intuitive Surgical, Inc., and we operate in accordance with the Patient Safety Quality and Improvement Act (PSQIA) and guidelines set forth by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
The establishment of Intuitive PSO further demonstrates Intuitive Surgical's dedication to enhancing patient outcomes and the quality of care in robotic-assisted surgeries. Intuitive Surgical and Intuitive PSO believe that everyone deserves to receive safe and high-quality healthcare. That's why we work with healthcare providers to identify and prevent patient safety events, improve processes, and share best practices in robotic surgery.
A PSO is an organization that collects and analyzes data in furtherance of improving patient safety and the quality of healthcare delivery. Initially, Intuitive PSO will assist surgeons with understanding objective analytics related to their surgeries to help them better decide on skills they may wish to acquire or activities they may want to change to improve the safety of their future patients undergoing similar surgeries.
