Dirk Barten

Dirk Barten is commercial president and senior vice president, Europe at Intuitive. Since 2022, Dirk Barten has driven the expansion of robotic-assisted surgery throughout Europe, focusing on patient outcomes and fostering a culture of trust within the European commercial team.

Dirk Barten joined Intuitive in 2016 from Schölly Fiberoptic. As he joined Intuitive, he was appointed General Manager for DACH and Eastern Europe, successfully driving the expansion of Germany’s top integrated delivery networks (IDN).

Dirk Barten has also held leadership roles at GE Healthcare and Elekta Instrument in Germany and Sweden. He studied medical technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Ulm, Germany, and holds a degree in business administration.
