Jaime Wong is senior vice president, chief medical officer at Intuitive. In his role, Wong oversees global customer training, clinical evidence generation, clinical research, reimbursement, and market access efforts.
Joining Intuitive in 2015, he most recently served as senior vice president and senior medical officer, overseeing clinical and user-centered aspects of product development, post-market activities, and partnerships with medical societies and regulators.
Wong holds two bachelor’s degrees, a diploma in engineering, and an MD from Dalhousie University, where he also completed his urology residency. He then completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at McMaster University and earned an MBA from Emory University. He is a da Vinci surgeon, served as medical director of Jenkins Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, and later practiced at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System in Palo Alto, California. Additionally, Wong is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
